SODIUM CITRATE
SODIUM CITRATE
Sodium citrate is an essential ingredient that acts as a sequestrant in our DIY laundry detergent, because, serving as a water softener, it allows the soap to work more effectively. So, it is suitable for use as a “builder” in laundry detergents but, unlike phosphate builders, it is environmentally safe.

I use this to make the washing deterget from Jo's recipe. It gives great results and represents good value for money. Jo's homemade washing detergent is much cheaper than buying it ready made from the supermarket. It's not difficult to make and only takes a few minutes.
Use with Jo's soap flakes to make an excellent floor and also liquid detergent
