In this class, you'll learn how to use toxin-free and biodegradable ingredients to create your own range of eco-friendly, vegan, zero-waste cleaning products.

 

Date: Monday 24th of February at 3.30 pm 

Location: Harriet's of Hove, 31 George Street, Hove BN3 3YB

Duration: 2h


During the first part of the workshop, I will discuss my journey, why commercial products are so toxic, and why it is better to swap them for DIY cleaning products. 

In the second part of the workshop, we will make 5 recipes together:

Laundry sequestrant

Laundry softener and dishwasher rinse aid

All-purpose degreaser

Limescale remover

Dishwasher powder detergent 


You will take home a copy of the recipes and all 5 cleaning products.

Obviously, I have containers for the products, but if you want to repurpose your old bottles and jars, you are very welcome to do so.

What you will need:

Two plastic/glass spray bottles 750ml

One plastic/glass jar 150ml

Two plastic/glass bottles 1l

 

This class is suitable for beginners, and anyone over the age of 16 is very welcome! The price includes everything you need: all materials, use of any necessary tools, and complete instruction and assistance from myself.  


CANCELLATION POLICY:
You can cancel and receive a full refund at any time up to 7 days before the workshop.
If you cancel less than 7 days before the workshop, you will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance or failure to attend class will not be eligible for a refund.
If the workshop is cancelled by The Green Boutique, a full refund will be issued.

Excellent Informative Useful Workshop

I met Jo at the Eco Fair in Petersfield and saw the advert for this workshop and was immediately interested! I went along with a friend and we both thought it was an excellent workshop, really useful - and fun making the products! I have bought the book and fully intend to use a number of the recipes in there! I really think it’s such a great idea to reduce how much we are polluting our environment with toxic cleaning chemicals and reducing plastic waste too, and hadn’t even realised I could easily make my own cleaning products before I heard of this workshop. Thank you very much!

Fun, Informative and Excellent Value!

This was such a great class and it was nice to see other like minded folk in the community coming together to help make our lives a little greener! Jo was a brilliant teacher, and gave a space for us to talk about what we are using at home, how to use the products and what can be more effective. Not all green products are created equal.
It's really good value for money as well, Jo is so knowledgeable and has some great resources. To come away with a recipe book, 6 products and two hours of her time is well worth it.

Brilliant - would definitely recommend

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Jo was really engaging and informative and to top it all off, I came home with a "recipe" book and 6 new eco friendly cleaning products to try out which really do work!
I'm converted and I shall definitely be buying the raw materials to make my own in future. Well done Jo for spreading the word and helping others so that they can be more environmentally friendly too.

Great workshop and good fun

We had a really fun and quite knowledgeable time, Jo was very helpful and the recipes were easy to understand.
We learnt an awful lot and will definitely be using all of the recipes.

Would really like to do another one with my friends or perhaps you could come to do a talk at my W.I.?
